WHAT IS DOCUMENTARY FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHY AND WHY ON EARTH WOULD I WANT IT? | Pittsburgh family photographer
Documentary Family Photography is a relatively new genre in the world of photography, but one that is quickly gaining popularity. It's all about preserving your family memories authentically, as you really are at this particular time in your lives. It's about catching those honest moments - nothing fake, nothing posed - and photographing them beautifully, as art to be enjoyed for generations.
It's about freezing the little things that fade from our minds as our children continue to grow and turn into little adults.
It's about leaving a legacy for them to look back on so that they will know just how much they were loved.
It's about showing them what the world was like at a time when they were too young to remember (hello...2020 anyone?)
It's about having something physical for them to reminisce over 20 years from now during family dinners, and not letting their images die a slow digital death in the cloud or on a corrupted hard drive. This is why all of my families receive a photo book as part of their package when they book with me.
So now that you know what documentary family photography is all about, let me explain why you want it:
